The girls and boys teams competed at the District Championships. Everyone stepped up and ran well today. The coaches are very proud of each runner. Great season everybody.

The girls and boys teams competed at the Lucas Lovejoy Fall Festival today and performed very well.
Girls Highlights
The varsity girls finished 22nd as a team. The girls are improving every meet and with additions such as Stephanie Martinez will only strengthen the team. In her first race, Stephanie ran a time of 22:40 which is a personal best.
Boys Highlights
The varsity boys ran their best race a s team today. They finished in 12th place. The team ran very well as they competed against many of their regional opponents. The standout performance came from Sammy Castaneda. Sammy ran a time of 17:46 on a tough course. The team had four runners go sub 18 minutes today.

The girls and boys teams competed at the Lake Highlands Invitational.
Girls Highlights
There were several pr's to account for. Haley Bambico ran her best for the third week in a row (22:38). Sidney White pr'ed with a time of 24:36 and Daniela De La Garza also ran a pr of 25:10.
Boys Highlights
The varsity boys had their best finish of the season by finishing 2nd as a team. The team was led by another solid finish by Jakaveon Shaw(16:59). Other strong performances came from Aaron Jennings(18:23) and Roberto Vallejo(18:26)

The girls and boys teams competed at the Southlake Carroll Invitational this past Saturday. The teams ran with more confidence and as a result ran much better than they did at the Marcus 1 meet.
Girls Highlights
Once again, Haley Bambico(23:17) led the girls team as the top finisher. Lizeth Villa also helped to lead the girls team with a finishing time of 26:07. In the JV girls race Alyssa Hooper led the team with a time of 28:05.
Boys Highlights
The boys team finished 21st out of 32 team as they competed in the 6A division. It was a much better performance by the varsity team. The team was led by Jakaveon Shaw (16:49) and Dagon Juarez (16:51). In the 5A varsity race, Angel Barron turned in a strong performance by running a time of 19:19 and in the JV race Daniel Parra led the team by running a 20:47.
The teams look forward to competing at the Lake Highland Invitational at Norbuck Park in Dallas.

The boys and girls team competed at the Marcus 1 meet on Saturday.
Girls Highlights
The girls team competed in the Open Varsity race and finished 26th. The team was led by Haley Bambico with a time of 23:36. The teams average time was 27:08. Also, the girls competed in the JV Elite division and were led by Lizeth Villa.
Boys Highlights
The boys team finished 18th overall in the the Varsity boys Elite division. The team was led by Dagon Juarez with a time of 17:24.91. The team averaged at time of 18:01. The Pirates also had a team competing in the Open Varsity boys race. This team finished 24th overall and was led by Aaron Jennings with a time of 18:41.29. In the JV Boys race, the Pirates finished 22nd overall and were led by Arath Monreal with a time of 21:13.84. The teams will be competing at the Southlake Invitational next week.
